You will leave the call understanding the strengths and weaknesses of your position, the likely cost and timeline of next steps, and whether retaining counsel makes sense for your circumstances. There is no obligation to proceed and nothing you share is used outside of providing legal advice.

How to prepare

To make the most of the 30 minutes, gather the key documents related to your matter ahead of time — contracts, emails, demand letters, court filings, photographs, invoices, or anything else that tells the story of the dispute. A brief written timeline of events is also helpful.

We handle estate litigation, contract and commercial disputes, real property and condominium matters, wrongful dismissal and employment claims, debt recovery, and injunctive relief throughout Alberta. If your matter falls outside our practice areas, we will tell you on the call and, where possible, refer you to a lawyer better suited to help.

While we meet many clients in person, the majority of our consultations and ongoing client meetings are conducted by video conference or telephone — allowing us to represent clients efficiently from High River and Lethbridge in the south, through Airdrie, Cochrane, Okotoks, Canmore and Red Deer, all the way north to Edmonton and the surrounding communities.
